Energetic Two’s

The two’s are at a stage where they are learning to express themselves as individuals and interact with their classmates and teachers.  Our goal is to build verbal skills to help children communicate to satisfy their needs and curiosity.

At this age, children are experiencing a wide range of emotions.  At LMCDC, we help children understand and learn about emotions and practice building self control. 

During the morning, circle time is used to enhance vocabulary, as well as introducing them to letter and number recognition.  Outside time and free play within the classroom setting encourages our students to develop problem solving and interactive skills.  At the end of the day, children participate in theme related activities which allows for socializing and the development of spatial and kinesthetic abilities. 

By the end of the year, we hope to accomplish with our two’s an understanding of self expression and self control to help them successfully transition into the three’s.
